Humans of LPHS: Jillian Matzke

“Since I was four years old, I have been a cheerleader. I have been a base for all the years I have cheered. When I was in elementary school and middle school, I was in Pop Warner Cheer. Now I cheer for LPHS, and after eleven years, my hard work has finally paid off. I am the JV captain for basketball season. During my whole time cheering, my mom has always been my coach. My mom being my coach has made me want to work harder because she did cheer when she was in high school. When I was younger, she put me in cheer, and then I ended up liking it as much as she did. Because of that I can thank her for getting me into something I love.”
