LPHS Student Council

LaPorte High Schools Student Council is looking for responsible, confident, and opinionated students to step up and represent their grade.

LPHS Class Representatives are the voice of their class, putting in their own thoughts and votes for what is best for their fellow classmates. The representatives will attend meetings, and after being presented an idea or problem, they express their thoughts and opinions on the topic. Class Representatives may also come up with their own ideas to expand on with the other representatives, helping their class and other students.

LPHS Student Council has helped the high school with many things this year. Putting together the Pep Rallies, Senior versus Staff Basketball game, the Fall Ball, and many other events to help raise money for the school and other organizations.

Mrs. Lowry, an English teacher at LPHS, supervises the meetings, but the President and Vice President are the head of the club. LPHS Student Council is mainly a student run club, ensuring all age groups get a say in the high schools events.

If you are interested in joining, or have any questions, you can contact Mrs. Lowry at [email protected]
